Designer Admin Rights Required

Initial Role Assignment

The ServiceNow admin has to assign the users to the following 4 groups (roles):

Designer Admin (required to perform the remaining configuration steps)
Designer Editor (to create and edit DiagramDiagram - Drawing that illustrates or visually explains a thing or idea by outlining its component parts and the relationships among them.s)
Designer Reader (to read DiagramDiagram - Drawing that illustrates or visually explains a thing or idea by outlining its component parts and the relationships among them.s in presentation mode)
Designer Commit (to create new elements and relationships in ServiceNow through the DiagramDiagram - Drawing that illustrates or visually explains a thing or idea by outlining its component parts and the relationships among them.)

Roles & Groups

Designer’s access rights is completely based on ServiceNow’s ACL’s, Roles & Groups and can be managed by any ServiceNow admin.

Add users to the pre-defined Designer Groups, to quickly grant access to different functionalities.
